In-Office Treatment

Dr. McLaughlin has extensive experience providing therapeutic services to children from the pre-school age to late adolescence. She provides evidence-based interventions to youth who experience a range of symptoms.

Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s treatment. A child’s progress towards treatment goals is greatly enhanced when parents can participate in treatment either by joining their child for part of session or scheduling their own sessions to discuss how they can assist with their child’s treatment goals. Parents of younger children are included in treatment so that they can learn how to support their children outside of sessions.

School Consultation

Dr. McLaughlin often collaborates with schools by offering school-consultation, visits to local schools and working closely with teachers and school personnel. She provides guidance to parents on school-based accommodations and the benefits of an IEP or 504 plan for children in need of specialized, formal school-based services.
